  • Tibial Tuberosity Transposition (TTA) in the dog

    Posted on by Cat

Tibial Tuberosity Transposition (TTA) is one of the many surgical management options for dogs with cranial cruciate ligament rupture and the most common one we perform at Towcester Veterinary Centre. The tibial tuberosity is advanced using a titanium cage spacer which changes the angle between the tibial plateau and patellar tendon. This changes the forces acting through the stifle during weight bearing and allows the joint to function without a cranial cruciate ligament. Take a look at this video which demonstrates the procedure as well as the post-operative results.
