  • Horses!! ….and hot dogs? TVC at Badminton Horse Trials

    Posted on by Cat

Fingers crossed the rain holds off for this weekend’s Badminton Horse Trials!

We are super honoured to have been asked to help the RSPCA provide vet cover for dogs at the Badminton Horse Trials.

The event is expected to attract 150,000+ visitors this year, and many of those will take their family dog to join in the fun.

Inevitably, some of them end up needing emergency first-aid treatment for unexpected ailments or scrapes…. and on Sunday, our very own practice partner Cat Arthurs will be working with the RSPCA to provide that help.

Sadly, she’ll also be there for the Hot Dogs!…. which isn’t as much fun as it sounds!…

Whilst the event organisers discourage people from leaving their dogs in cars, every year some people just ignore that advice.

And dogs really do die in hot cars. It can happen in minutes.

Thankfully, the RSPCA patrol the event’s car parks – and have the authority to liberate trapped dogs before they overheat.

And should the worst happen, Cat will be on hand to provide those dogs with the vet care that they need too.

So should we hope for rain and cold weather after all? Naaaah!

    Maybe see you there?!
