Katy Kirkham joined Towcester Vets in September 2017 & has been working within the veterinary field since 2011. Katy has a keen interest in nurse clinics. Outside of nursing Katy is a keen member of Leicestershire Young Farmers & has recently retired as being county chairman. In any spare time Katy enjoys eventing her horse Mae

Sarah has worked at Towcester Veterinary Centre since 2007. She trained at Myerscough School of Veterinary Nursing in Preston and qualified in 2010. She is senior theatre nurse and assists the vets with the referral case load. Her main tasks include organising surgical equipment and monitoring the anaesthesia of the more complicated surgical cases. Her main professional interest is in surgical nursing especially orthopaedics.
She has a 7 year old Staffie Sasha who is a little shy but very loving and also a rather handsome pussy cat, Barnaby.
Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse
Claire qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1995 from the College of Animal Welfare, Godmanchester. She has been working at Towcester Veterinary Centre since 2010. Claire’s main roles include being a theatre nurse, doing nurse clinics and organising the puppy parties.
She has pedigree Simmental cattle which she enjoys looking after and preparing for shows and sales. She also has three sheepdogs Sweep, Tilly and Archie, who she competes in flyball training.
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Hollie qualified as a veterinary nurse from the College of Animal Welfare in Potters Bar and joined Towcester Veterinary Centre in 2009. She has a keen interest in post-operative rehabilitation of surgical patients and co-ordinates our hydrotherapy programme. Earlier in 2013 she gained the British Small Animal Veterinary Association’s (BSAVA) Veterinary Nurse Merit Award in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. Outside work she enjoys socialising with friends, reading and has recently joined a running club.

Billie joined Towcester Veterinary Centre in 2014 and qualified as a veterinary nurse from Warwickshire college in 2016.
In practice she enjoys organising and running nurse clinics, particularly our Podgy Paws clinic.
She has a collection of animals including her three dogs Bella, Eski and Sam. A pony called Comet, Beryl the bunny and ten rescue hens

Gill qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1999 and since then has worked in many places around the country before joining our Towcester team. Gill is passionate about rescuing animals and will often hand rear some of the animals who need rehoming through our practice. Gill has a 5- year-old boy who is also animal mad!

Jen started volunteering at her local vets when I was 16 and was immediately hooked! She continued to work in veterinary practices alongside her studies and completed her veterinary nursing degree in 2004. Since then she has worked in a variety of practices and roles including lecturing veterinary nursing to diploma and degree students. She has recently returned to Towcester Vets part-time after a break to care for her two children. As well as a four year old son and a two year old daughter she has a Labrador lurcher cross called Maggie and three cats, Charlie (pictured), Dizzy and Diesel. In her very limited spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family and trampolining
Melanie has been nursing since 2003 & qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005. Since then she has worked at 3 other veterinary clinics before joining Towcester Vets in November 2018.
She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a particular interest in emergency & critical care, medical nursing & in-patient care. In September she completed her ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing.
She is married & lives at home with her husband, their two children, two cats, two dogs, a lizard & a snake.
Nursing Assistant
Rebecca joined the nursing team as a kennel assistant in June 2016. This year she has decided to progress further and start working towards starting her vet nurse training within the practice as it has always been something she has always been interested in.
She has a Level 3 diploma in Animal management which she completed in 2015 at moulton college, and has previously worked at a boarding kennels and volunteered at a dog shelter.
At home she has two dogs, Skippy the rescue dog who is a cross breed and Lottie the French Bulldog.
