Abbie Walsh
Abbie started nursing in 2019 after completing work experience. She qualified as an RVN in 2022.
She has a keen interest in medical nursing and emergency critical care. Abbie particularly enjoys the opportunity to work with ‘small furries’ and exotic animals.
Outside of work she enjoy seeing friends, watching films and reading.
Hollie Fieldhouse
Hollie joined the team at Towcester Vets in December 2023. She previously worked at Waggy Tales Doggy Day Care but decided she wanted to gain further experience in the veterinary industry. Hollie is now a student veterinary nurse training with us to become a fully qualified registered veterinary nurse in the future.
Hollie has always loved all animals and began horse riding when she was just 4 years old. She has a loan horse called Dakota who is kept with a very cheeky donkey called Dinky.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and making bespoke cards for special occasions.
Holly Loynd
Holly started working at Towcester Vets in 2004 and qualified in 2007, she has worked across all the three small animal sites over the years and enjoys all the aspects of the profession, from anaesthesia and surgery to general nursing. Holly is currently based at the Paulerspury site.
Holly has two boys and a whole menagerie of animals, ranging from pedigree sheep, milking goats, horses to dogs, cats and chickens. In her spare time Holly likes to bake, read and spend time outdoors.
Pip Melrose
Pip has been working in the veterinary industry since September 2021 – she started her nursing training in 2023.
She is now enjoying developing her knowledge and experience assisting the vets across all three of the small animal clinics.
In her spare time she likes to take her 3 dogs for long walks and spend time with family and friends.
Holly Smith
Holly had a change of direction in her career into the veterinary industry after a background in HR and Administration at a GP surgery. She decided to take a big leap to finally pursue her dream career in veterinary nursing. Holly joined us as an animal care assistant and after gaining more experience in the role she is now a Student Veterinary Nurse.
In her spare time Holly enjoys playing touch rugby and competing in monthly tournaments. She also loves spending time with family, friends and her crazy, lovable beagle called Chester.
Rebecca Jackson
Rebecca is a qualified RVN. She has experience in equine and small animal. She currently works as a night nurse at our Burcote Road surgery in Towcester and enjoys monitoring our inpatients and assisting vets with routine procedures and emergency care.
Amy Buey
Nicky Field RVN
Nicky qualified in 1996 and joined our team as a night nurse in June 2024 she brings many years experience in anaesthetics, surgical nursing, health and well-being, physiotherapy and rehabilitation and is really enjoying applying all these areas to her new role, caring for our inpatients during the night. A keen advocate for arthritis, orthopaedic conditions and soft tissue injuries/health, Nicky has obtained a Blue Paw Award with the VOA (veterinary osteoarthritis alliance) and has a BSAVA Merit Award in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Her partner in crime is Oak the Border Collie who is often seen helping her around the practice, and at home looking after two other collies, Spyro and Raine and two cats Ivy and Fig.
In her spare time, Nicky is the perpetual learner, always with a course on the go. She also enjoys attending music gigs, the theatre, dog walking, horse riding and spending time with family and friends.
Anna Cannata
Lucy Aust
Lucy is the proud owner of Marlie, Izzie and Ali-Chi (3 chihuahuas), a rabbit, two guinea pigs, two budgies, a canary and two teenagers! She has always had a passion for the care and welfare of animals as well as a keen interest in canine behaviour, animal enrichment and scentwork. Lucy has attended a number of courses on these subjects over the past couple of years, including the achievement of the ‘Talking Dogs Scentwork Accredited Handler’ status with Izzie.
In her spare time, Lucy volunteers for Pawprints Dog Rescue. She really enjoys her role within Towcester Vets. Working as part of the nursing team, assisting in dispensary and helping run puppy parties is Lucy’s dream job. In 2019 she achieved a Level 2 certificate in Veterinary Reception with the College of Animal Welfare. She has just completed her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification enjoys being part of the Arthurs Orthopaedics team, assisting with bookings and enquiries.
