Abel Rogerson BVM BVS MRCVS
Abel joined the Towcester Farm Vets Team in January 2025. He graduated from the University of Nottingham in December 2024, where his interest in farming developed. Farm work has always been his end goal, and he is excited by the variety of work that our clients offer.
Abel is looking forward to developing his knowledge and skills in all field of farm medicine and surgery, but particularly veterinary public health and fertility work. Outside of work you will find Abel playing rugby, cooking or hiking in the national parks.
Katie Platts BSc BVetMed MRCVS
Growing up with a farming family in the West Country gave Katie a strong passion for farm work and after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016, Katie moved into mixed practice in Oxfordshire. In 2019 she moved to full time farm work with Towcester Farm Vets, with strong interests in bull fertility, youngstock and nutrition.
Katie has recently moved to South Northamptonshire with her boyfriend and cocker spaniel, Rolo. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the rugby and supporting the Exeter Chiefs!
Rebecca Hopper BA VetMB MRCVS
Beckie joined the team at Towcester Farm Vets in May 2024. Beckie qualified from Cambridge Vet School in 2022 and has spent 2 years working at a farm practice in Lancashire. She enjoys herd health discussions and pathology having spent an extra year at university studying infectious diseases.
Outside of work Beckie enjoys spending time walking and appreciates the time she gets to spend out in the country as a farm vet. Beckie has moved to Northamptonshire with her partner Adam, and they are looking forward to exploring the area together.
Nikki Prosser BVM&S MRCVS
Nikki worked in mixed practice in Worcestershire for 4 years after graduating from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in 2009. Having enjoyed the challenge of treating all creatures great and small, she was keen to pursue her long held enthusiasm for farm practice further and joined Towcester Farm Vets in May 2013. Nikki has a keen interest in health planning and infectious diseases particularly the control of BVD and Johne’s in cattle herds.
Nikki lives with her husband Matt and together they spend most of their free time playing or watching rugby!
Katie Goodfellow BVSc MRCVS
Katie qualified from Bristol Vet School in 2004. After 7 years in farm practice in Wiltshire, she joined Towcester Farm Vets in 2011. Katie enjoys the varied nature of life as a farm vet, with special interests in surgery, AI and embryo transfer. She is happiest when kept busy with the wide range of challenges that farm practice has to offer.
Outside of work Katie lives with her husband Mark and two daughters, who know more than they probably should about farm vetting!
Sarah Czapski BVetMed MRCVS
Sarah qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 and volunteered in Peru as a charity vet before settling down in the UK as a small animal vet. After joining Towcester Vets, Sarah discovered a passion for feline medicine and emergency work.
In her spare time, Sarah will spend time with Neddie and Humphrey, her two cats that she rescued through the practice. She also enjoys hill walking around the UK, especially in the Lake District.
Hannah Manning BVetMed PGCertSAM MRCVS
Hannah qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007 and has worked in small animal practice ever since. She joined Towcester Veterinary Centre in 2018 and particularly enjoys small animal internal medicine and critical care. Hannah successfully completed the BSAVA certificate in small animal medicine in 2014.
Hannah lives in Northamptonshire with her husband, two young children and their three lurchers. She enjoys dog walking holidays with the family, running and mountain biking.
Sarah May BVSc MRCVS
Sarah qualified from Bristol University in 1997 and has worked in small animal practice ever since. She has worked in Northampton for 19 years and joined Towcester Veterinary Centre in 2012. She particularly enjoys consulting, internal medicine cases and diagnostic imaging.
Sarah lives in Northampton with her two children and two rescue cats, Ariel and Tiddles, who keep her busy! Outside of work she loves walking in the local countryside, landscape photography and combining the two! Making music is very important to Sarah, with her latest big challenge to learn to play the harp!
Helen Pope MA VetMB CertSAS MRCVS
Helen qualified from Cambridge University in 1984 and started working at Towcester Veterinary Centre shortly afterwards. She became a partner at the practice in 1994 and passed the RCVS certificate examination in Small Animal Surgery in 2010.
Helen enjoys the job every part of her job from the consulting to the operating and taking surgical referrals from other practices. She especially enjoys complex orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. She is one of the only people in Northamptonshire registered to carry out laparoscopic (keyhole abdominal) surgery in animals.
Outside work Helen enjoys running – so much so that’s she completed nine marathons! She also competes her horse regularly and owns working Labradors. Helen also very much enjoys watching top class rugby.
