Amanda Halleybone

Amanda is the Administrator for our equine insurance-claims service.

Prior to starting at Towcester Vets Amanda worked in Insurance and Financial services for almost 38 years! Her role now allows her to draw upon her previous experience whilst also assisting our clients to navigate the claims process for their horses and ponies. Amanda has one of the best views from her office window as she can see rolling countryside and the hospital wing of our practice so she can also see the beautiful equines in our care.

Amanda has been with her husband for 40 years and has 2 gorgeous grown up son’s who work with a different sort of horse power! She has a cuddly cocker spaniel ‘Bertie’, together with 2 ponies, ‘Rosie’ a 14. 2″ Hafflinger Cob Cross and ‘Toto’ (the brains of the yard) who is a little Welsh companion pony, re-homed by a good friend of Amandas, from a medical testing unit and now on loan to keep Rosie company.

Family is important to Amanda and she enjoys spending time dog walking with her lovely Mum. Also she likes to fit in riding lessons, hacking and a little bit of Dressage with lovely Rosie. More recently Amanda has taken up improver swimming lessons to keep her fit.

Meg worked through her BHS stages to become a qualified instructor and was also employed in America at a Show Jumping yard for a year which was a fantastic experience. When she moved back to the UK, Meg worked for British Riding Clubs and was fortunate to be part of the team who coordinated the National Championships.  Meg then went on to become an Equine Lecturer at Moulton College before joining us.

In her spare time she can be found helping her husband on the farm or out riding on her Irish Sports Horse called Irene.
