Charity Canvin

Charity joined the equine nursing team in spring 2026, she brings great experience from working on a freelance basis in the equine industry for many years.

Her journey started working at a local flat race yard/stud which led to her to Newmarket to complete her jockey training and then working within flat racing for a few years. Charity then enrolled at BCA college and completed a National Diploma in Horse Management and a Foundation Degree in Equine Sports Science.

As a freelance Charity has worked at various different settings since graduating including eventing, showjumping, dressage, re-habilitation and also at the Home of Rest for Horses.

Her passion and interests graduate towards welsh ponies and the traditional cob, in her spare time Charity enjoys competing, in particular qualifying for TOYS and entering hunter trials with her little traditional cob.
Charity loves hacking out and competing with her daughter and their ponies, going on many adventures from cross country to the show ring!

 

Lilly Tailby

Lilly joined the Towcester Equine team in 2024.

As part of our nursing team her role involves assisting vets with procedures and providing the highest standard of care for our inpatients. She often rides for owners who bring their horses into clinic as part of poor performance or lameness investigations. Lilly enjoys the variety of her work in clinic and out on the road with our equine vets. In her free time she enjoys competing her horse in affiliated dressage and going ski-ing with her friends.

As well as her horse named Humbug, Lilly also has a fox red lab and a border terrier at home.

Kelle King

Kelle joined the team in August 2022, she has worked within the equine industry for many years in various roles from grooming, teaching, stunt work and stud duties.
She also enjoys competing herself – showing at RISH/HOYS level, eventing, dressage, team chasing and carriage driving.
Kelle is primarily based at the Onley clinic assisting the vets, also working hard to keep the clinical environment clean and tidy and helping the nursing team on a daily basis.
As Kelle is an experienced rider she is often seen riding clients horses on the poor performance/lameness days for vet observation if required.
Kelle has her own horses and a gentle greyhound called Jaxx who is very loyal and often not far from her side.
