Sign up is now open for our first winter meeting of the 2026/2027 season!

We are delighted to welcome Sarah Tomlinson and Lindsay Heasman to talk to us about the new TB strategy, vaccination and other ways to reduce the risk of TB on your farm.

This meeting will be held on Monday 28th September at Towcestrians Sports Club, NN12 8AW.

There will be light refreshments served from 7pm, with the talk to start at 7.30pm.

As always, expect a relaxed atmosphere, some good company and a chance to take a break from the farm.

Pop in for half an hour, or stay for a couple. Topics of conversation at our previous events have included Bluetongue, Nikki’s birthday and passport applications! We’re always up for a chat.

On this day we take blood from donor camelids which is then transported to the Pet Blood Bank for processing to produce plasma. Plasma is a vital part of treating crias who don’t get enough colostrum at birth.

Plasma is not commercially available so this is our only way of producing this product and as we want to pass on antibodies that are specific to your farm, it’s important that each farm has its own supply. There is a disease risk in using plasma from other herds.

It was lovely to see so many of you at Blakesley Show again this year. It felt like the busiest we’ve ever had!

We had great fun with our new Aggers pump race, and crowned a worthy winner with 32.92s to pump 20L (depsite the heat!!)!

We hope you are looking forward to doing it all again next year!
