Onsite laboratory
All Towcester Vets clinics have laboratory facilities onsite offering same-day, or immediate results in many cases. These help our clinical team to diagnose a variety of health problems quickly, often without needing more invasive diagnostic methods.
Our Vets and Nurses use biochemistry and haematology machines to test blood and body tissues, measuring enzyme levels and other bodily substances for a fast and accurate diagnosis.
Rapid results enable treatment to begin right away, which is especially crucial for pets experiencing a veterinary emergency.
Onsite at Burcote Road and Weedon we also have imaging facilities including digital x-ray and ultrasound to aid in fast diagnosis.
Specialised tests
If your pet requires more specialised tests, we can send samples to a trusted external laboratory via a bespoke overnight courier service. Results are typically available the very next day; our Vets will contact you to discuss them and make a plan for the next steps in your pet’s treatment.
